The novel reflector design (patent pending) allows uninterrupted, precise wind speed and direction measurements, even in heavy rain or high wind speeds up to 90m/s.

Crafted from corrosion-resistant, anodized marine-grade aluminum in a compact form, this rugged, robust technology withstands extreme conditions including freezing temperatures, heat, humidity, high winds, heavy rain, corrosion, vibration and shock. The fully heated anemometer ensures stable performance — even in arctic environments.

WM80 uses patented Vaisala WINDCAP® ultrasonic wind measurement technology, which is based on more than 50 years of wind measurement expertise. Three transducers capture 50% more wind signal compared to conventional ultrasonic technologies to maintain measurement accuracy and data availability.
